You should always pick your favorite photo. The important thing about this advice is what is not there: the "S" at the end of the word photo—just the single one. We go out and take many photos, sometimes hundreds, sometimes less. But which one of those is your favorite?
It's tempting to share your best 20 photos on social media and let the crowd decide which one they like best. But photography is not about them; it's about you and what you love.
Plus, taking time to select your single favorite will greatly improve your photography because you take the time to dissect your images and pay close attention to the elements you like in photos.
Here are my top three photos of this cat, Kobe, I met on my walk one evening. I like all three of these but when posting on Facebook, only picked the close-up of the ears because I felt it was the strongest of the three. You may or may not agree, but you'll never know because I only share one. (Ok.. now I wrote this post and ruin the magic but don't tell anyone.)

Make it a habit to pick your single favorite from ALL the images you take. You'll see it's a good practice.
